About me
I believe the most important part of our work is the relationship we build together. Because every person is unique, I work integratively; I don’t subscribe to a 'one size fits all' approach. Instead, I pull from different therapeutic tools and modalities. Together, we can look at your past, your relationships, and how you feel in the present moment to create a space that works for you, allowing us to focus on what matters most to you.
I also offer creative ways of working together to help explore feelings or experiences that may feel messy, confusing, or hard to put into words. It has been well evidenced that using art materials, symbols, metaphors, or imagery can help access and contain what can feel hard to reach. Often, the imagery which we produce ourselves serves as an inner wisdom and helps us navigate through a time in our lives where the path ahead is difficult to see. You do not need to be an artist, be ‘good’ at art or have any previous artistic experience; this is an additional resource that can help safely and cathartically explore experiences and feelings.
I often encourage clients to combine traditional talking therapy with the arts, as it can achieve profound results. I have supported clients using the arts to find a voice for a part of themselves which has been silenced, witnessed clients use the arts to find a way forward in a situation which seemed impossible and facilitated clients to use the arts to help hold a traumatic experience so they can slowly make sense of it.
There is no requirement to express yourself creatively if you feel more comfortable talking. If you would like to know more about how sessions work or which approach might suit you, please feel free to get in touch.
My experience
I have experience supporting those with anxiety, low mood, relational issues, self-esteem, questions around gender and sexuality, neurodivergence, trauma, and complex needs. Alongside this, I have supported people who are living with a terminal illness or who are struggling to make sense of a family member’s or loved one’s diagnosis.
I have worked across the NHS, charities, and in private practice, both one-to-one with clients and in group settings.
I offer psychotherapy in English, on a one-to-one basis, with adults (16+).
